It is a perennial shrub in the family Asteraceae, hailing from Asia and Africa. The helichrysum has elongated, light-green leaves from which the erect stems with the characteristic large, daisy-shaped flowers grow. They can be golden yellow or glossy violet, and they have a papery consistency . They do not wither but they dry while keeping intact the shape and aroma and, thus the common name “everlasting flower”. For this reason, they are considered to be very decorative.

It is a herbaceous perennial plant originating from Asia. It produces a basal rosette with big, green, curved, with wavy edges, rigid and compact leaves. These Primulas are very used as houseplants, especially during the winter; they are often used as annual plants, sometimes in the shaded flowerbeds as well. The blooming is very prolonged, especially if the withered flowers are removed.

In autumn, after the blooming, the aerial part begins to dry up, and when this phase is completed the tubers have to be extracted from the soil and placed in a cool, dry place in the dark, where they will remain until the following March, when they will be repotted. . The ideal storage temperature is 10-12 ° C.
The Tagete (the so called Indian carnation) are very common flowers used in the gardens and in the pots mostly thanks to their facility of cultivation. They fear water stagnation; the best exposure is the full sun. They fear the cold. Watering has to be regular and moderate.

It has a thick rosette of large and leathery leaves from which a sturdy, hairy stem rises, supporting the inflorescence. The flowers of gerbera look like giant daisies with a corolla which can be both light and dark and it has long petals with a velvety texture; they are particularly long-lasting and they have bright colours ranging from white to yellow, pink, lilac, up to dark red.
