The Lithodora Diffusa is a groundcover and evergreen plant originating from Mediterranean Europe and it belongs to the family Boraginaceae. It has small and sharp green leaves with an evident central longitudinal grain, covered by a slight down. It produces small, tubular and intense blue flowers with five petals that make it an ideal plant to decorate flowerbeds and garden corners with blue color.

Gaura is a perennial plant hailing from North America, mostly from Texas, in the family Onagraceae. As its origin might suggest, it is a rustic and resistant plant. It produces a thick bush with green/ reddish leaves and thin stems which bear four-petalled, pink or white flowers with yellow stamens, similar to orchids.

It prefers sunny or semi-shaded places; these plants do not fear the cold and they can withstand periods of intense cold. Sometimes during the winter it loses the aerial part which they grow back in spring. A watery lymph is stored in the roots of the plant, which allows it to withstand long periods of drought without problems.
