The Vinca or Pervinca is a herbaceous and evergreen plant originating from Europe (very common in Italy) and it belongs to the family Apocynaceae. It could be cultivated both with erect shape and hanging shape (Vinca so-called “Mediterranean”, transplanted in basket). It has a thick shrub with oval leaves, extended and shiny green. It produces a lot of little and delicate flowers, with five pastel colored petals, from white to pink, red, lilac and purple.

It is commonly known as Dimorphoteca or “African daisy” as well. It belongs to the family Asteraceae and it originates from Southern Africa. It looks like a perennial bush with light green leaves and with a lot of flowers similar to big daisies (diameter of 5-6 cm more or less), colored from pink to white, yellow, purple and shaded colors.

They prefer sunny positions, they well withstand heat. Watering should be regular.
The Lisianthus (or Eustoma) is a young plant: it was discovered in the Usa in the XIX century and transported to Europe at the beginning of the ‘900. It belongs to the family Gentianaceae. It is cultivated for ornamental purposes in pots and for the trade of cut flowers that are very appreciated for their simple and elegant design; it is characterized by slow growth and it blooms throughout the summer.
The Lobularia is a plant originating from mediterranean European areas and North Africa and it belongs to the family Brassicaceae. It has a thick shrub with small and light green/grey leaves. It produces many little and white, lilac or violet flowers with four petals; they are collected in balloon groups and characterized by a particularly intense perfume. It has a very long lasting blooming.
The Cuphea, originating from Mexico, Peru and central-southern America, produces peculiar long-lasting tubular flowers, red or pink: mostly cultivated as outdoor plant, it has very thick and decorative bushes about 80 cm high (30 cm for the dwarf varieties). Its blooming is ideal for a summer terrace with something new. It fears excessive cold and warmth. It needs abundant waterings during the summer.
