The Gypsophila is a perennial plant belonging to the family Caryophyllaceae and originating from Europe and Western Asia. It looks like a bush and on all the length of the thin stems it produces many white or pink flowers. Because of its compact shape it is commonly called “mist” and, in addition to being an ornamental plant for borders, it is used to make brides’ bouquets (another common name is, as a matter of fact, “Bride’s Voile”).
