Bignonia campsis is a climbing plant in the family Bignoniaceae, in which more than 700 different species of shrubs, herbaceous plants and trees can be found. Its leaves are oval, oblong and dentate like in other varieties of the same genus. Their green colour is especially glossy during spring and summer, while turning to yellow and red in autumun and winter. Being a deciduous plant, the leaves eventually wither and fall out. Thanks to its suckers, it is a climber perfect as groundcover as well.
